why slow?

i’ve wanted to document life on the road for a while but have had trouble finding my voice. i feel a pressure to over-sensationalize everything. to make it look like a non-stop party. and while there are moments like that, that’s only a fraction of it.

i’ve also never been that comfortable talking to a camera. i learned that doing 30 days of running vlogs before my album came out. turns out the vlogging was harder than the actual running.

so I started thinking about what I could make without that. no talking. just my POV, and the parts of touring nobody really shows you. the in-between stuff. not having a crew or a camera person doesn't have to be a limitation. it can be the whole point.

i made something this week that I think captures it better than I could in words. worth watching when you have a quiet moment.
