create your own momentum

ah yes, let’s wait to get signed and then the label will tell us what to do? maybe this logic works in a movie, but unfortunately, life is not a movie. (also why would an artist want a label or management to tell them what to do creatively?)

momentum comes from within, the ideas come from you. no one’s idea will be as good as yours because… only you fully understand your idea. as seth godin says “It’s a cultural instinct to wait to get picked…. once you reject that impulse and realize that no one is going to select you, you can get to work.” the team around you facilitates and elevates your ideas, they don’t create them. that’s on you.

new ideas always win, but they come from you. where else are they going to come from?
