feel less pop up

friday was an absolute sweatbox. a success of a night that is hard to put into words. there’s something about these pop ups that feel alive. it’s addicting, overwhelming, and exciting all at the same time. the prep work of getting the space ready all day was daunting. setting up the speakers, figuring out how to light the place, last minute additions like ordering a custom ‘feel less’ sign, realizing at 5pm u need a square terminal to run a merch booth, calling friends to help with random jobs, and those friends coming through. it feels good man.

the location went out at 5pm and by 8pm the line was about 5 blocks long in gastown. we said the party started at 9. we ran the AC all day in the space, and you could definitely not tell that we did that lol. it didn’t matter though. spirits were high. everyone huddled around a DJ booth, feeling the spontaneity of the whole thing, sharing the experience together. there’s something special about everyone being in a room for the exact same reason. feel less they say… but i’m feeling more.

someone on tiktok said “i think felix could revive vancouver’s night life,” but i’m just out here trying to have fun :)

till next time.

thank you vancouver. thank you for showing up.
